June 10: FLY TO LONDON – Join your teachers and friends as you board an overnight flight to London. Enjoy dinner and breakfast during your flight.

June 11: LONDON CALLING – After touching down at Heathrow, we waste no time getting into the heart of one of the world’s great cities! Your coach whisks you straight into central London, where your local expert guide will bring this remarkable capital to life. First stop — the magnificent Westminster Abbey, where centuries of coronations, royal weddings, and history are woven right into the stone beneath your feet. Then, it’s up, up, and away on the iconic London Eye for sweeping panoramic views across the skyline — a spectacular way to get your bearings in this vast, buzzing city. From there, we make our way to Covent Garden, where the streets hum with performers, the market stalls are piled high with character, and lunch is entirely yours to explore at your own pace. By late afternoon, we’ll check into our tour hotel, shake off the jet lag, and settle in before coming together for a wonderful group dinner — the perfect chance to swap first impressions and toast to the adventure ahead. Sleep for 2 nights in London. Dinner.

June 12: LONDON’S FINEST – This morning, we dive deeper into the soul of this extraordinary city with a panoramic guided tour of London’s greatest hits — the grand sweep of Buckingham Palace, the iconic silhouette of the Houses of Parliament, the pageantry of Trafalgar Square, and so much more. If the schedule cooperates, we’ll be on hand for one of the world’s great spectacles — the Changing of the Guard Ceremony, a stirring, precision-perfect display of British tradition that never gets old. By midday, we make our way to the legendary Borough Market, one of London’s oldest and most celebrated food markets, where the aromas alone are worth the visit — grab a bite, browse the stalls, and soak up the vibrant atmosphere at your own pace. The afternoon brings something truly special, the WYSO will present a performace at the beautiful Southwark Cathedral — a moment of culture and calm in the middle of a busy city that will stay with you long after the final note fades. As evening falls, we will visit a favorite local restaurant near Leicester Square for a lively pre-theatre dinner, fueling up and raising a glass before the main event. Then it’s on to the glittering West End — London’s answer to Broadway — for a top-class musical or theatrical production that is sure to be the talk of the trip. Dinner.

June 13: OXFORD and STRATFORD – We bid farewell to London this morning and head out into the English countryside, with our first stop being the university city of Oxford. You’ll have free time to wander, grab lunch, and visit the magnificent Christ Church College before we continue on to the charming market town of Stratford-upon-Avon. Here, a visit to Shakespeare’s Birthplace puts you right inside the story before we cap the evening with a live performance at the world-famous Royal Shakespeare Theatre — to see Shakespeare performed here, in his own town, is a memory you’ll carry home long after the curtain falls. Sleep for 1 night in Stratford-upon-Avon. Dinner.

June 14: DAY 5: NORTHWARD to LIVERPOOL – This morning we leave Stratford behind and head north to one of Britain’s most spirited and soulful cities — Liverpool! We’ll arrive in time for an independent lunch in the buzzing Albert Dock area before joining our local guide for a sightseeing tour of the city, taking in the legendary sites linked to four lads who truly changed the world. The highlight is a visit to The Beatles Story Museum — a fascinating and fun deep-dive into the music, the magic, and the mania that was Beatlemania. They you will have the remainder of the day and evening to explore more of Liverpool on your own. Sleep for 2 nights in Liverpool.

June 15: LIVERPOOL – Today you have some free time to explore Liverpool’s fascinating maritime and musical heritage. Visit the iconic World Museum of Liverpool, the world’s first national museum devoted to the history of a regional city and the largest newly-built national museum in Britain. Later, the WYSO will present a concert in the historic Liverpool City Centre.
Dinner.

June 16: WALES, THE IRISH SEA, and KILKENNY – We leave Liverpool behind this morning and head into the rugged beauty of North Wales for a visit to the spectacular Conwy Castle — a medieval masterpiece that sits dramatically on the estuary and never fails to impress. From there, we make our way to the coast for our Irish Sea ferry crossing, a fun and scenic way to make the jump from Britain to the Emerald Isle with our coach and driver in tow. We arrive in the charming medieval city of Kilkenny and possible present an outdoor performance in the stunning grounds of Kilkenny Castle Park. We round off a big travel day with dinner together. Sleep for 1 night in Kilkenny. Dinner.

June 17: BLARNEY and KILLARNEY – This morning we head to the little village of Blarney for a visit to its famous castle, where the brave among us can lean back over the parapet and plant a kiss on the legendary Blarney Stone — said to bestow the gift of eloquence on all who dare! The adjacent Blarney Woolen Mills is the perfect one-stop shop for authentic Irish crafts, textiles, and gifts, so leave some room in the suitcase! After an independent lunch in the village, we continue on to the beautiful town of Killarney, where a wonderful dinner and a lively session of traditional Irish music will round off the evening in fine style. Sleep for 1 night in Killarney. Dinner.

June 18: THE CLIFFS OF MOHER & DUBLIN – We leave the Kingdom of Kerry behind this morning and make our way up the wild Atlantic coast to one of Ireland’s most breathtaking natural wonders — the Cliffs of Moher. Towering 700 feet above the crashing North Atlantic, these cliffs are simply unforgettable. From there, we make our way east to Dublin, Ireland’s vibrant capital city, where a great dinner and a rousing session of traditional Irish music will sure put a smile on your face. Sleep for 2 nights in Dublin. Dinner.

June 19: DUBLIN – THE GRAND FINALE – We save the best for last with a wonderful morning in Ireland’s magnificent capital city. Our guide leads us through the heart of historic Dublin — the grand sweep of O’Connell Street, the storied General Post Office where Irish independence was born, and the irresistible buzz of Temple Bar. Then, we step inside the hallowed walls of Trinity College for a visit to the breathtaking Book of Kells — one of the world’s greatest medieval treasures and a genuine jaw-dropper. The afternoon is yours to explore, shop, and soak up the craic at your own pace before we share a concert exchange with a local Dublin ensemble — a fitting and moving musical celebration of this incredible journey. And then, one last time, we gather together for a grand farewell dinner to toast new friendships, incredible memories, and an adventure that will stay with you for a lifetime. Sláinte! Dinner.

If you are interested in helping to organize or coordinate a fundraising project, please reach out to me directly. Parent initiative and involvement will play an important role in keeping this experience accessible for all students.
