The Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra presents The Four Seasons Saturday, November 21, 2026 at 7:30 p.m. at the Palace Theatre in Greensburg.
The centerpiece of the concert is Antonio Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons featuring violinist Alexi Kenney. He made his debut with the WSO during their 51th season opening night. “I have had the great pleasure of collaborating with Alexi Kenney on several occasions now, and each opportunity is a new revelation. Alexi is so completely musical and has such a special way with the violin that it is hard to imagine a piece that he couldn’t completely master. I expect that when he takes on Vivaldi’s Four Seasons with us, his imaginative spirit and technical virtuosity will astonish and amaze us all. I cannot wait for this performance,” said Daniel Meyer, Artistic Director.
The concert opens with Douglas Moore’s Farm Journal, a musical portrait of rural America. Followed by Prokofiev’s Symphony No. 1 “Classical’ one of his best-known works.
Alexi Kenney, born in Palo Alto, California, Alexi is a graduate of the New England Conservatory in Boston. The recipient of an Avery Fisher Career Grant and a Borletti-Buitoni Trust Award, as well as winner of the Concert Artists Guild Competition, Alexi has been profiled by The New York Times and has written for The Strad. He performs with major orchestras and venues including Carnegie Hall, and the Cleveland, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, Detroit and Houston symphonies.
