WSO Presents “Classics on the Rocks” Concert in the Barn at West Overton

The Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra will present “Classics on the Rocks” a unique concert and whiskey tasting experience at West Overton in Scottdale on Thursday, June 8 at 7:00 p.m.

The evening concert will be held in West Overton’s historic five-story barn and features the WSO Cello Ensemble, six cellists led by Will Teegarden, WSO principal cello. They will play Rachmaninoff’s Vocalise
J.S. Bach’s “Sarabande” from Suite No. 6 in D, Metallica’s Nothing Else Matters and Rossini’s William Tell Overture among others.

The evening includes two options: A VIP hour beginning at 5:30 p.m. that includes early access, West Overton Distillery Tasting, two (2) complimentary signature cocktails, and one (1) entry in the raffle for $38 per person.  General Admission is $18 and doors open at 6:30 p.m. with a cash bar. The concert begins at 7 p.m. Guests must RSVP in advance and must be over 21 and show a valid id to purchase signature cocktails, beer, and wine.

“Last year’s concert in West Overton was my first concert with the WSO, and such a great success that we’re really looking forward to bringing it back this year with some additional perks. With support from RK Mellon Foundation, we’ve been working on discovering new and exciting ways to reach new audiences. We hope that “Classics on the Rocks” will continue as an ongoing series that community members will look forward to for years to come, said Natalie Ann Kasievich, WSO Executive Director.
