WYSO Fall Concert – November 23

The Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra’s youth orchestra program (WYSO) will present its fall concert on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. at Seton Hill Performing Arts Center in Greensburg. The concert is free and open to the public; donations are accepted.

The WYSO Philharmonic, conducted by Adam Gillespie, will perform selections from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker and Brahms’ Hungarian Dance No. 5. The Philharmonia, conducted by Jorie Butler-Geyer, will play Mozart’s Rondo Alla Turca and Bartok’s Rumanian Folk Dance, among others.

The concert also features the Wind Symphony, a group of intermediate and advanced-level woodwinds, brass, and percussion musicians led by conductor Ryan Czekaj, and the String Ensemble, composed of young musicians conducted by Sarah Ferrell. The evening’s performance also includes works by Leonard Bernstein and Percy Grainger.
