Come and celebrate the season with a very merry concert featuring the All-Star Choir of Westmoreland County, Charlene Canty, soprano, conducted by Andrés Franco.  Hear selections from Home Alone and The Nutcracker, Sleigh Ride, O Holy Night, Deck the Halls, and more. This festive performance is the perfect night to gather friends and family on the Saturday before the holiday.  Join the WSO for an evening of cheer!

Meet the Guest Conductor Andrés Franco

Colombian-born conductor Andrés Franco continues to inspire audiences with his imaginative programming and energetic style. Andrés is a frequent guest conductor in the United States, Europe, and South America.

Andrés served as Music Director of Tulsa’s Signature Symphony and Resident Conductor of the Pittsburgh Symphony from 2015 to 2020. Previously, he served as Resident Conductor of the Fort Worth Symphony (2008-2014) and Music Director of the Philharmonia of Kansas City (2004-2009).

Meet Guest Soprano Charlene Canty

Soprano Charlene Canty has been acclaimed for her “sumptuous voice” and “beautiful tone”, as well as her musicality and ability to create “gorgeous interweaving vocal lines” that move from “nuanced soft passages” to “bright and powerful while never being forced or strident.” She is an accomplished performer of operatic and sacred works, and she is also in demand as a concert soloist and recitalist and has been broadcast in recital by WQED-FM 89.3.
