Young Peoples Concert

We look forward to securing other grant funding and will update this page to reflect future dates.

Young Peoples Concerts are offered annually for a one-hour daytime concert designed especially for elementary school students. Each program, based on a unique theme, is introduced to the children by the conductor, who explains aspects of the music, using examples and stories about each piece. The concerts are both informative and entertaining. Recent concerts have featured the following themes: Stormchasers! What Makes Music Sound American? Britten’s Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra and Musicalympics.
