The Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra presents its season finale the “Best of Broadway” on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the Palace Theatre in Greensburg, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
The concert is conducted by Daniel Meyer, WSO Artistic Director, will feature the music of Rodgers & Hammerstein including Carousel, Sound of Music, King and I, South Pacific, Oklahoma and more. The music will be performed by the full orchestra, choir and guest vocalists Rebecca Kaufman Taylor, Anthony Massetto, Deana Muro, Daniel Nuttall, Becki Toth, Katy Williams and Rich Williams.
Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein formed one of the most influential partnerships in American musical theater. Together they created a groundbreaking series of Broadway musicals that helped define the golden age of musical theater. Their work won 34 Tony Awards, 15 Academy Awards, two Pulitzer Prizes and two Grammy Awards.
“We wanted to wrap up the WSO season with an entertaining concert filled with the Broadway music audiences know and love,” said Daniel Meyer, Artistic Director. “The duo of Rodgers & Hammerstein represents the gold standard of 20th-century musical theater. This program brings together the full orchestra, professional singers, and choir to capture the magic of Broadway right on our own Palace Theatre stage.”
