Windfluence Summer Chamber Music Series
Thursday, July 23 – 7:30 PM

Enjoy a night of world-class music with Windfluence in the beautiful setting of Unity Chapel in Latrobe. You’ll hear Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story, Denes Agay’s Five Easy Dances, Marc Mellits’s Apollo, Paul Valjean’s Dance Suite and Eric Ewazen’s Roaring Fork.
Windfluence is a woodwind quintet (flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn) based in Pittsburgh, PA. They offer fun and dynamic performances of standard quintet literature along with arrangements of popular music and classical music.
Musicians: Kira Bokalders, clarinet; Peggy Greb, flute; Steve Ehrin, bassoon; Hilary Philipp, oboe and Deborah Jenness, horn.
General admission at the door is $20 and all donations benefit the WYSO youth orchestra program. Unity Chapel (114 Chapel Lane) is air-conditioned and accessible.

Join us for a three-concert series supporting the Youth Orchestra Program. General Admission is $20 at the door.

The one-hour program celebrates America’s 250th birthday with patriotic music including The Star-Spangled Banner, Armed Forces Salute, Stars and Stripes Forever and Gould’s American Salute. Plus you’ll hear John Williams’ Raiders of the Lost Ark, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera, Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story, Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, and many more.

Summer Philharmonic Wind Ensemble Concert

Join us for a very special evening of music featuring the premiere of “To Champion Our Future” by composer Mark Surovchak, commissioned in honor of Morrie Brand and made possible through generous community support recognizing his extraordinary musical contributions.
The evening will also include Morrie Brand’s Percussion Concerto, Shenandoah by Frank Ticheli, and selections from Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, conducted by Adam Gillespie. The concert is free and open to the public
