West Overton Village

Classics on the Rocks

Don’t miss out on the perfect blend of strings and spirits! You’ll experience an evening strings concert in West Overton’s rustic brick barn. Hear traditional classical works plus a few surprises performed by the WSO’s Cello Ensemble. Sip on signature cocktails featuring West Overton’s Jasper Stash Rye Whiskey plus a selection of beer and wine. General Admission; doors open at 6:00 p.m. with a cash bar. The concert begins at 7 p.m. *Must be over 21 and show a valid ID to purchase signature cocktails, beer, and wine. This event sells out, with only 200 seats, reserve your spot early! Beo String Quartet

Join us for the Summer Chamber Music Series kick off concert featuring Beo String Quartet.
With 65 world premieres to its credit and 145 concert works played throughout the world, Beo String Quartet – Jason Neukom, Sean Neukom, Ryan Ash, and Andrew Giordano is a can’t miss event.
General admission at the door is $15 and all donations benefit the WYSO youth orchestra program. Unity Chapel (114 Chapel Lane) is air-conditioned and accessible.

Summer Sparklers

Saturday, July 5 at 7 pm St. Clair Park, Greensburg – Celebrate the Fourth at our popular annual summer concert in the park! Come early for an instrument petting zoo, perfect for kids. Bring a lawn chair or blanket along with family and friends and join us for classics, patriotic favorites, movie favorites, and our traditional finale – The 1812 Overture at St. Clair Park in Greensburg, conducted by Daniel Meyer. This concert is free and open to the public. Donations are accepted.

Borodin: Symphony No. 2

Get swept away in cinematic sound. Khachaturian’s Masquerade Suite opens the program with lush waltzes and high drama. International violin sensation Timothy Chooi takes center stage in Korngold’s Violin Concerto, a dazzling work with all the musical drama of old Hollywood. The night concludes with Borodin’s powerful Symphony No. 2, a heroic and majestic work rooted in Russian legend.

Nutcracker Ballet

Now 3 Performances! Friday, December 12 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, December 13 at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tchaikovsky’s timeless score comes to life during Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra and Texture Contemporary Ballet’s production of the beloved holiday favorite. The area’s only live-orchestra version of this iconic ballet features spectacular choreography and will take you on a magical, musical trip to the land of the Sugarplum Fairy, waltzing snowflakes and enchanted toys.  Alan Obuzor, Texture Contemporary Ballet Artistic Director. This special presentation’s tickets on sale July 25 at 10 a.m. through the Palace Theatre Box Office.

Celebrate Spring with a concert that blooms full of beauty and elegance. Acclaimed violinist Chee-Yun returns to the WSO for a third time to perform Mendelssohn’s beloved Violin Concerto in E minor. Brahms’ spirited Hungarian Dances open the program with lively energy, and the night concludes with Schumann’s radiant ‘Spring’ Symphony, a joyful celebration of renewal and hope.
