The Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra presents “Classics on the Rocks” at West Overton in Scottdale on Thursday, June 5 at 7:00 p.m. Guests will enjoy an evening strings concert in the historic barn and can purchase signature cocktails featuring West Overton’s Jasper Stash Rye Whiskey, plus a selection of Pennsylvania beer and wine. “Every year, we look forward to this event. The historic barn, whiskey cocktails, and relaxed atmosphere make it the perfect night out. It’s a lot of fun for us as musicians to connect with the audience and perform a mixed program,” said Will Teegarden, Cello Ensemble director.

The evening concert features the WSO Cello Ensemble, led by Will Teegarden, WSO principal cello. The musicians include Alica Storin, Cecilia Caughman, Alex Noe, Christina Chen, and Lily Moerschel. They will play Henry Mancini’s Pink Panther Theme, the theme music from “Cinema Paradiso” by Ennio Morricone, Joe Hisaishi’s music from the animated classic “Howl’s Moving Castle,” plus works by Bach, Elgar, and Metallica.
