Treble Voices (choir)

The Planets was composed during World War I, and debuted in 1918. Gustav Holst (1874-1934) was inspired by astrology, each movement captures the personality of the planet, you’ll hear the fiery intensity of “Mars” the serenity of “Venus,” and the celestial choir in “Neptune.” With a large orchestra and choir, this cinematic masterpiece has influenced countless film scores including Star Wars and Interstellar and continues to wow audiences over a century later. Concert Parking, Venue Information

Parking is available in the Bell Garage, located one block west of the Palace Theatre on East Otterman St. (hourly rates) Street parking is also available.

Drinks: Custom cocktails, wine, beer non-alcoholic beverages are available for purchase in the Megan Suite bar prior to the concert or during intermission.

Accessibility: The Palace requires any patrons utilizing a wheelchair, cane, crutches, walker etc. to sit exclusively on the orchestra level only. If you have specific concerns, we encourage you to order tickets by phone at 724-837-1850 so we can assist you personally. Thank you!

Meet Radu Ratoi

Winner of the 2024 YCA Susan Wadsworth International Auditions, accordionist Radu Ratoi began playing at age
six in his hometown in Moldova. He has since won over 60 national and international awards, including first prizes
at six of the world’s most prestigious accordion competitions.

He studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, where he won the Sonning Music Prize, one of Denmark’s top
honors. His artistry blends the Russian and Western European musical traditions into a distinctive personal style. Read Radu Ratoi’s full bio
