For Elementary School String Students
WYSO String Ensemble, Matt Hettinga, Director
Meets on Monday evenings, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Academy of Music from June 7 – July 12 (no class July 4). Tuition is $50, second child $35.  This is a training group for elementary school string players, including violins, violas and cellos. While no audition is necessary for participation, most members are taking private lessons, learning the equivalent material to that found in Suzuki books I and II. Students learn to how to play in an ensemble and how to follow a conductor.

Beethoven’s Ode to Joy

Beethoven’s exultant Ode to Joy closes out the WSO 2016-2017 Season.
