For Elementary School String Students
WYSO String Ensemble, Matt Hettinga, Director
Meets on Monday evenings, 6:30 – 7:45 p.m. at the Academy of Music from February 6 – April 24. Tuition is $99, second child $66. Spring concert will be held April 24. This is a training group for elementary school string players, including violins, violas and cellos. While no audition is necessary for participation, most members are taking private lessons, learning the equivalent material to that found in Suzuki books I and II. Students learn to how to play in an ensemble and how to follow a conductor
