The Philharmonia provides a student’s first experience playing in a large ensemble that includes strings, woodwinds, brass and percussion. It is comprised of WYSO String Ensemble Alumni, middle school students who are taking private lessons or recommended by their music teacher, and high school students who are not able to attend the Wednesday night WYSO Philharmonic. String students in this group will be able to play music similar to that found in Suzuki books III and IV. A public performance is included at the end of each semester.
- Private Lessons
Lessons are offered to all string students in violin, viola and cello. Flute and voice lessons are also available. Call 724-837-1850 for a list of teachers and available times.
